Continuing Education Requirements
Licensed Real Estate Salespersons and Brokers
Licensed salespersons and brokers are required to take 16 hours of
continuing education every two years. At least 6 of these hours
must be in the following subjects:
- License and escrow law
- Anti-trust law
- Civil rights law
- Agency law
- Listing contracts and purchase agreements
- Ethics and professionals standards
- Settlement procedures
At least 10 hours of course work are to be taken in any of the
following subjects:
- Appraising
- Property management
- Farm property management
- Commercial brokerage and leasing
- Financing
- Residential brokerage
- Land development
- Legislative issues affecting the real estate practice
- Other approved courses
