Continuing Education Requirements
Licensed Real Estate Salespersons and Brokers
Licensed salespersons and brokers must obtain 12 hours of continuing
education credits every two years. A minimum of six of these hours must
be in a core curriculum covering License Law, Escrow, Agency, and Fair
Housing. A maximum of 6 hours of CE can be taken in the following elective
areas:
- Appraisal
- Property management
- Residential brokerage
- Farm property management
- Rights and duties of sellers, buyers, brokers
- Commercial brokerage and leasing
- Real estate financing
- Other approved courses
Each CE course shall be a minimum of 3 hours, offered in 3-hour increments,
and shall include the successful completion of a proctored examination.
