Overview of the Appraisal Process for Real Estate Professionals (Course Description)
Course Description: This course is accepted by the Texas Real Estate Commission as a 30 hour "core" real estate course, and satisfies requirements pre-license, Salespersons Annual Education, or Mandatory Continuing Education (including required legal hours).

The 22-lesson course covers the basics of real estate appraisal and includes numerous problems and worked examples of the Sales Comparison, Cost, and Capitalization Approaches to property appraisal. Principles of value, estimating accrued depreciation and reconciliation are also included.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be asked a series of security questions (for example, "What is your mother's maiden name?"). When this security check is passed, the student will receive a certificate of completion.

By taking this course you can also receive TALCB-approved certification for 16 hours Appraiser Continuing Education for Texas Certified or Licensed Appraisers.
