Privacy Statement

UniversityOfTheNet.com is dedicated to the absolute privacy of our customers and all on-line users. We will never disclose, sell, or lease any information to any third party without the express permission of a particular client, unless required to do so by law.

Business Relationship

UniversityOfTheNet.com only shares performance related data with the students generating those data, their administrators and the entities responsible for paying for the training. Note that the party responsible for payment may not necessarily be the employer of the administrator and/or the student.

Server Logs

Like most web sites, UniversityOfTheNet.com keeps server logs recording access to its site. We use these logs to determine what sections of our site are being accessed so that we may improve our site. These logs do not contain personally identifiable information such as your name or e-mail address.

Personal Information

UniversityOfTheNet.com does not collect personal information from customers without their consent. However, the nature of the service we provide to our customers sometimes requires us to ask for a good deal of personal information before we can permit you to begin registering students, etc. This information may include contact information about administrators and students, and information about business units that will facilitate training certification and billing.

Personal Recognizance Questions

In addition to the information we collect when you register for a course, certain courses contain questions about historical details of your life. For instance, we may ask you the color of your first car or where you attended elementary school. We may use these questions as an auditing tool to verify that the customer applying for prelicense or continuing education credits is the customer who actually completed the course. You do not need to answer these audit questions truthfully, but you must remember the answers that you provide.

Purchases and Credit Cards

When you purchase a course by credit card, we are required for credit verification and fraud protection reasons to prompt you for your name, address, credit card number and expiry date, phone number and e-mail address. UniversityOfTheNet.com shares your personal information only with members of our credit card processing network so that we may validate your credit and protect ourselves against fraud. This information is encrypted to protect your privacy. We encourage you to speak with your credit card issuer and find out what policies they have in place to protect your personal information.

In cases where the UniversityOfTheNet.com has been the victim of credit card fraud, we may elect to share this information with the appropriate law enforcement authorities and to pursue legal action.

When paying by cash, we do not require that you provide us with any personally identifiable information. However, we do need to know the user name and password of the account we should credit as well as the name of the course(s) being purchased. Note: Courses paid for with cash will be enrolled for, but not started, until payment has been received.
